About Matrix3D.shop
Where ideas take shape
Matrix3D.shop is a small studio in Makkinga, the Netherlands, where 3D design, 3D printing and software come together. We design parts and models, print them on printers we built ourselves, and write the software that runs this shop — software that other shops now use too.
Everything you find here is made in-house: printed products shipped from the Netherlands, 3D models you download right after checkout, and desktop apps and WooCommerce plugins with their own licence keys and updates.
What we do
- 3D-printed products: masks, controller stands, vases, can holders and Voron printer parts, printed to order in PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA or TPU and shipped with PostNL.
- Custom 3D printing (delivery in the Netherlands only, paused for now): prints from your own STL, 3MF or STEP file. Up to six colours in one print, heat-set inserts and soldered electronics on request.
- Downloadable 3D models: print-ready STL files and game-ready FBX/OBJ assets with PBR textures — like our replica of the Tachyon Enhancer prototype from The Flash.
- CAD & product design: functional parts, enclosures, jigs and prototypes in Fusion 360 and SolidWorks, delivered as STEP or STL.
- Game art & visualisation: props and characters sculpted in ZBrush, retopologised in Maya and textured in Substance Painter, plus photorealistic renders for shops and presentations.
- Software: desktop apps for Windows (Custom Macro Binder, Pokémon Shiny Hunter) and WooCommerce plugins — the Custom PostNL shipping plugin and SLUM, the licence manager that issues the keys in this shop.
How we work
Our production printer is a Voron 2.4 R2 with a 350 × 350 mm bed, built and tuned in-house: enclosed, running Klipper, and fitted with an Enraged Rabbit Carrot Feeder for up to six colours in one print. You can watch it at work on our live stream.
The printing happens in our workshop; everything else happens online. Projects run like this:
- You tell us what you need — through the project form or by e-mail — with sizes, material, quantity and a deadline if there is one.
- We come back with questions or a quote: prints are priced on material, print time, preparation per build plate and any finishing, plus shipping; design, CAD and 3D-modelling work at €30 per hour or as a fixed project price, and software as a fixed project price or by the hour.
- We design, print or build it. Prints ship with PostNL; models, designs and software are delivered online.
Experience & expertise
Matrix3D combines mechanical design with digital art. The tools behind the work:
- Autodesk Fusion 360 & SolidWorks – mechanical design and prototypes
- Autodesk Maya, ZBrush & Substance Painter – modelling, sculpting and texturing for games and visualisation
- Photoshop & RizomUV – UV layout, renders and post-processing
- Python & PHP – desktop tools and WooCommerce plugins, with licence keys and automatic updates
- Klipper & the Voron ecosystem – building, tuning and upgrading our own printers; some of those parts are in the shop
Creating together
Makers, designers, game developers and shop owners all end up here — some for one printed part, some for a model or a plugin. Custom prints are delivered to addresses in the Netherlands only; design, 3D models and software are available worldwide.
Matrix3D.shop – a matrix of possibilities.
Custom projects are paused for now
We're a small studio and our schedule is full at the moment, so we're not taking on new custom print, design or software projects for a while. The shop is open as usual — printed products, 3D models and software are all available. Questions? We're happy to help.
