Shiny hunting can be exciting… but it can also become exhausting. Endless soft resets, constant button presses, and staring at the same screen for hours can slowly take the fun out of the hunt.

Pokémon Shiny Hunter is designed to take that repetition away.

Once set up, the app fully automates the shiny hunting process. It handles soft resets, encounters, and Pokémon checks for you, allowing you to simply sit back and watch—almost like putting on a movie and waiting for that sparkle to appear. When a shiny Pokémon is detected, the automation stops automatically, so you can take over and catch it yourself.

How It Works

Pokémon Shiny Hunter visually checks what appears on your emulator screen:

• You create references of Pokémon using screen regions and color values

• The app continuously runs encounters or soft resets

• Every Pokémon on screen is compared to your saved references

• When a shiny is detected, the hunt stops instantly

This makes shiny hunting calmer, more comfortable, and far less tiring—especially during long sessions.

Supported Hunting Methods

• Starter / Static Pokémon
  Ideal for starters, legendaries, gift Pokémon, and other fixed encounters
  Example flow:
  Reset → Enter battle → Check Pokémon → Repeat

• Wild Pokémon
  Hunt full routes, caves, or areas
  The app loops encounters, identifies which Pokémon appears, and tracks encounter counts automatically

The app is designed to work with MelonDS, but it should work with other emulators as well (Untested). Pokémon Shiny Hunter also supports MelonDS increased framerate, allowing you to hunt even faster.

⚠️ Currently, the app fully supports HeartGold / SoulSilver.
Diamond / Pearl and Platinum support will be added in the near future.
