Known flaw

The mouth piece did not print correctly: on both sides, the top of the grille in the mouth opening is rough and broken, with loose blobs and strands of filament (see the product photos). The mask also has no fitting for a strap: it is a display piece and cannot be worn.

About this print

The story behind this print

Dr. Doom display mask (not wearable), 3D printed in grey ASA on our Voron 2.4. Marketplace item at a reduced price: the mouth piece printed faulty and there is no fitting for a strap. Otherwise a complete, display-ready mask.

This Dr. Doom mask was printed in grey ASA on our Voron 2.4 and ended up in the Marketplace because the mouth piece did not print correctly and the model has no fitting for a strap. The rest of the mask printed as intended, which makes it a good fit for a shelf, a display or a paint project at a lower price.

ASA is a UV- and heat-resistant filament, so the mask keeps its colour indoors and outdoors. The surface can be sanded, primed and painted with acrylics or an airbrush.

The design is by its original creator on Thingiverse (see the Creator link in the specifications) and is printed under the Creative Commons BY-SA 3.0 licence.

What is wrong with this mask?

The mouth piece did not print correctly and there is no fitting for a strap. The rest of the mask is complete, which is why it is sold at a reduced price.

Can I still wear it?

Without a strap fitting it is meant for display or as a paint project rather than for wearing.

Grey ASA, printed on our Voron 2.4. ASA is UV-resistant and easy to sand and paint.

How long does it take to arrive?
